Chicago Sailboat Charters is happy to offer a Power Boat Rental. Some people prefer the sounds of an engine to the sounds of wind, and power boats can be the perfect summer time Lake Michigan party boat. Make it a crowd of up to 11 people, so you can enjoy the ample seating for 11 in the cockpit / party deck. There is a huge area for sunbathing on the bow. So after the party guests on board cool off in the lake, they can dry off on the bow under the season’s blue skies. And they will have no problem getting back on the vessel, since there is an easy access ladder for swimming on our 40′ cruisers.

Lake Park Sailing and Boating

A stunning 76 acre park, on the west side of Lee Street, between Touhy Avenue on the south and Howard Avenue on the north. The featured attraction this park provides a place for area residents to go fishing, sailing, and boating close to home. Here, you can relax and enjoy a natural setting, watch local wildlife, and walk the path along the shoreline. Lake Opeka has a particularly interesting history, which you can read about here, and at the Des Plaines History Center. On the north end of the lake, the popular marina has both wet and dry moorings for local boat owners. Boating season is April 1 to October 31 (always weather dependent), and we offer annual and daily launch fees. The marina is home to the Des Plaines Yacht Club, which hosts regattas throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The Park District sponsors a Labor Day Regatta each year. Sailing lessons are available every summer, for beginner and intermediate sailors.

We have multiple boats ranging from 2 to 120 passengers. All boats feature private bathrooms, some feature waterslides, full bars, and more.... Join us on one of our Floating Tiki Bar ticketed cruises, perfect for tourists, family, friends and business groups. Bar Service is available, bring food from the HUT aboard... Join us on the Chicago Riverwalk. Island Party Hut Tiki Bar & Grill offers the charm and atmosphere of being on a tropical island, right on the Chicago River. Kayak Chicago is Chicago’s original kayak and paddleboard outfitter, since 1999. Our kayak outposts have everything you need for your urban adventure on the Chicago River, family outings at Montrose Beach, or catching some sunshine at North Ave Beach.
